Beaumont Pass Transit releases new CNG powered bus

January 28, 2019. Beaumont Pass Transit announces the addition of a new 32-foot compressed natural gas (CNG) bus. The new clean air vehicle will be dedicated to Beaumont's Commuter Link 120 and has capacity for twenty-four passengers and two wheelchairs.

Commuter Link 120 connects the pass area with Metrolink and the San Bernardino Transit Center Monday – Saturday. From this facility, passengers can access other regional transit options such as Omni Trans, RTA, Victor Valley Transit Agency, Mountain Transit, and Metrolink. Connections with these regional transit providers open the door to all southern California.

The new CNG bus brings Beaumont Pass Transit's fleet to a total of nineteen buses. Funding for the vehicle was made possible through State Transit Assistance (STA) Capital Projects, Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) and Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC).
